We have had chance to review the video footage from the Reccy trip several weeks ago, this footage was valuable when it came to working out locations. Here is a quick look at some of the places that we will be shooting. Hopefully it won’t spoil how we are going to put some of the scenes together. It probably looks a bit scary, but it’s actually on the tip of the iceberg considering there are 53 locations for this film.

Makeup
Thursday, April 26th, 2007
This weeks meeting was all about makeup, yep thats right, actors do have to have makeup on for the camera. As with Costume Design, each characters personality was outlined to give an overall picture of what type of look is required, the meeting also covered effects makeup which will be essential in several scenes. Jennie Strempel has agreed to take the lead in this area and we thank her for committing to this important role.
Script Update
We are also trying hard to get the final script finished by the end of this week, this way scripts can be issued to the actors next week when the central characters are announced. Hopefully, its only minor changes from then.
1st Auditions

On Saturday the 21st April, the 1st round of auditions for the central characters occurred. The approach the casting panel used was to select 4 scenes. We split the actors into groups to workshop these scenes. We then worked through each scene, recording a take of each audition. Once we completed this round, we then mixed up the actors to go through the whole process again. This provided the casting panel with an opportunity to see character interaction across the board.
Although this was a time consuming process, the casting panel after a lengthy discussion did come to a consensus on the role each actor would be given. Each actor will be notified of the outcome during the 1st week of May.
The 2nd round of auditions for the rest of the characters is on the 12th May.

Script Update
Monday, April 9th, 2007![]()
Script writing has been going on for about 4 months, although the actual process of putting the story together has taken about 6 months so far. Each day that travels on we nearing the end of the scripting process and getting one step closer to shooting and putting this movie together. So far there have been location survey’s, wardrobe meetings, budget meetings, script redrafts, website creation, software tests and much more going on.
This is an exciting process, but we are looking forward to the end of pre-production, when we actually get our hands on some of the footage and really start to put this together.
Location Survey
Monday, April 2nd, 2007![]()
Last weekend Geoff Oliver and Luke Oliver went on a two day journey (Reccy) to find some locations for the movie. They found lots of great spots that will really give the movie the right feel as well as give the movie authenticity. While some of the locations will be hard to get to, it will still be worth the trek.
